Jade Purulak’s collection, Tango, influenced by the 1980’s collective Kultura Zrzuty, investigates cuts of tailoring and silhouettes with an ambition to be wearable. The collection also explores the repurposing of discarded clothing that plays intentionally on fading and hidden seaming, to echo the memory of the original garment in its new form. With a recycled wool sponsorship from Manteco, she looks to incorporate positive initiatives around the topic of sustainability throughout her work.
