‘Emote’ is the result of a campaign to encourage children to speak out about upsetting encounters online. The concept comprises a wrist-worn electronic bracelet that helps support teenagers and give them the confidence to open up when they encounter distressing material online. The device monitors mood changes by measuring temperature and heart rate and learns their trigger points. The app then provides opportunities for the child to share concerns with friends or a parent.
