Growing Up on Disney+

Growing Up is an innovative hybrid docu-series that explores the challenges, triumphs, and complexities of adolescence through ten compelling coming of age stories. The show gives audiences emotionally powerful narratives that offer an engaging look at teenage-hood and the diverse social, familial, and internal obstacles young people face on their path to self-discovery and acceptance. I worked on the development of this show, building out the deck for this show as it entered production and assisted in writing interstitial episode outlines before production had to do pickups for the show per Disney’s request. I also helped out as a production assistant on set helping producers out with any ad hoc set needs and ensuring all departments were aligned. Growing Up has now been nominated for an Emmy in the ‘Writing for Young Teen Program’ category.
