The Active Citizenship Program (Programa Cidadania Activa) is an instrument to support Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), which runs from 2013 to 2016 and is funded by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Grants). Its management is the responsibility of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, selected through a public tender launched in 2012. The high level of requirement for access to funding derives from the rules governing the management of EEA programs in the 16 beneficiary European countries. The idea was to visually translate data that correspond to the program report and to illustrate the mission of the NGOs represented. Thus, the graphic spot is accompanied by the drawing of people, since these associations work with people and for people.
