Hale Milk

  • Carys Norfor
Hale milk is a conceptual brand made in the hypothetical scenario that when (or if) Britain leave the European Union, milk famers would lose their subsidies. Hale is an upmarket milk brand which emphasises local heritage and community. Hale encourages their customers to look after themselves and their environment by discussing environmental issues, such as encouraging reusing glass bottles.
The Hale topographical sticker either comes with Hale bottles, or can be applied to any glass container. The detail of the label reflects the heritage of the country and origin of the milk, as well as referencing our community, through bringing all sections of the United Kingdom together. The glass bottle itself reflects the heritage of dairy companies in Britain, delivering milk through a service or a milkperson.
Customers can buy Hale using a similar system to a zero-waste shop. They take a glass, fill it up, and pay for what they poured. Thus, encouraging them to only buy what they will use, and therefore reducing waste.
