Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand sets to explore the concept of sisterhood and solidarity. Featuring Nine and Rebecca Louisy, these images depict the beginning of summer and the connection with nature and each-other experienced during this time. Whilst also reflecting on the societal expectations placed on plus-size bodies during the summer season - in particular, the notion that they should cover, hide or disguise themselves. Blending elements of both fashion editorial imagery and classic cinematic photography, Jasmine Engel-Malone captures the stunning pair in Richmond Park, London. Stylist Katie Gill Harrison explores traditional concepts surrounding ‘loose’ and ‘tight’ clothing, incorporating pieces from Ellis Jaz and Chloe Nezianya. Above all, this narrative is a celebration of empowerment, unity, and friendship - with an aim to challenge societal pressures and standards regarding womanhood and the body, specifically during the summer months.
