Hand Painted Silk Fabrics

To create these expressive paintings on fabric I mixed acid dyes with water to the consistency of drawing inks which I then painted directly onto the screen in many layers of colours and densities. By layering multiple layers of dyes onto the screen I was able to create depth and tone within the paintings, as well as blending the colours together creating inky textures and shades.
