Hannah Maule-ffinch - IPPF | Cook Islands - LGBTQ+ fight

Hannah Maule-ffinch was commissioned by International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), a global healthcare provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights, to travel to The Cook Islands, and document the communities of people that access its services. The Cook Islands are a remote set of islands in the South Pacific Ocean, and are highly vulnerable to climate change impacts, with its communities facing many socio-political challenges, and has only just reached ‘developed country’ status. Among other stories, Hannah met and photographed people who used the services of IPPF, in particular the strong and vibrant community of activists fighting for LGBTQ+ rights.
