HARDCORE SOLE // Koi Footwear

A short project for the Koi Footwear 2020 competition. Inspired by 90s rave culture, the design of the shoe was centered around an image of my Dad at Fantazia in1992. The shape of the car has been translated onto the design of the shoe, whilst reusing the colours within the image to be manufactured in vegan leather. Shoe silhouettes from the 90s were used to inspire the shape of the final design, using deconstruction methods of design to develop the initial research in a physical form.
