Characterful animation for an iconic brand

I was asked by the amazing in-house creative team at Harrods to animate a series of fifteen 15-sec animations to promote their rewards card scheme. These films were featured both on social media channels and instore throughout Harrods during 2017.
The story focussed on two main characters, 'Zap' and 'Zonk' who get up to various mischeif around the different departments of Harrods.
Product shots were set up for me to work on top of and around, each representing various departments within Harrods.
Using a character design that Harrods had provided, I broke the illustration apart and created a puppet rig for animation. The client requested a style of movement that was somewhere between stiff rubber and a wind-up toy. I think we struck the balance nicely!
