In November 2016 I was elected as the Welfare & Diversity Representative for my halls of residence, Harry French. The role involves promoting positive health and wellbeing as well as providing underrepresented students with a voice. Welfare focuses on the general wellbeing of all students in Harry French. Diversity focuses on supporting and empowering diverse and underrepresented students groups; ensuring they have a voice within LSU, Hall and University.
The role involves sitting on the Harry French Hall committee, a body of 18 elected student representatives, meeting weekly and assisting in the organisation of Hall related matters and events.
