Commissioned Projects I try not to play favourites, but my client Aduro Comms is pretty awesome. And our first project together, for Hartley’s 10 Cal & Jelly, was a sweet (but calorie conscious) way to kick off what has grown to be an incredible working relationship spanning countless projects and brands. I was thrilled to add Hartley’s, another long-standing and well-known brand to my portfolio. Especially because we are an extremely well-paired combo; my signature colourful compositions with an equally colourful and easily identifiable product. Through my work with Hartley’s, I’ve been able to greatly improve my stop-motion work which ultimately began with our first project together. By refining my process I have cut down on the amount of editing required (which ultimately means cleaner, more impactful outcomes with greater flexibility around amends and feedback) and developed the complexity of the set-ups and the motion they portray. I love talking about this process, and I harp on about it in more detail here. Throughout our numerous projects together so far, I’ve slowly expanded my photoshoot concepts to include larger and more complex set-ups whilst maintaining the vibrant colours and impactful minimalism I was first approached for.
