This was an editorial shoot for South African online fashion magazine, Gaschette. The theme for the issue was "Clan" and so I built a concept around the tradition of 20th century African studio portraiture, after Malick Sebide and Seydou Keita. The styling blends influences from Europe, Africa and Asia.
Styling was done by Zakirah Rabaney, makeup by Jacqueline Viljoen, and the model is Aphelele from D&A Model Management, Cape Town. The shoot was shot in Cape Town, South Africa.
