27/11/18 Set for a fundraising gala for the charity to aising funds and awareness around the issues faced by refugees in the UK and the work The Helen Bamber Foundation does to support it. The short play told client’s stories during the therapy which the charity uses to help clients overcome the psychological impact of trafficking and torture, using a therapy technique called Narrative Exposue Therapy. The set design was inspired by the stones and flowers used in this therapy. I assisted with creating the handmade carpets. We made these communaly, creating a tapestry of different qools resemblant of the therapy’s weaving together of individual narratives.
