Hendrick Kganyago Futsal history The history of Futsal, or Indoor Soccer as it was called in its origins, dates back to Uruguay in 1930, where the first FIFA World Cup was held, with the victory of the local team.
This triumph, the fact of being the venue for this event and the Olympic medals obtained in previous years by the Uruguayan team, unleashed a real passion for soccer on the streets of the South American country, especially in Montevideo.

However, few courses were available to the general public at that time. To solve it, people played on basketball courts, much more common, but where the rules of soccer were not always applicable.
