Hero vs Alien
This is a short animated video I made during my Christmas break of 2017, since I had experience with 3ds Max, I learnt Blender as an alternative for a week and once I feel comfortable with the features I then rigged my two sculpted models that represents the human protagonist and alien antagonist. In this short, it mainly consists of a stylised martial arts fight sequence that involves a mix of kung fu and muay thai from the protagonist and capoeira from the antagonist, a lot of moves I managed to keyframe accurately by hand and I also researched into capoeira from a friend who practices it. The fight scene is also heavily inspired from the thai film, Tom-Yum-Goong. The animated film also shows many lighting and particles effects, particularly the alien space craft.
