A small group of students including myself took on a live project working alongside Hilton Hotels and THAT Group, to create an entrance feature and Ice projections for the Bournemouth Ice Rink.
We had six weeks from the initial briefing to the opening night, and once we had arranged a few meeting to discuss the design, we split off into two teams. One team started work on a 3D computer model and the CNC cutting plans for the entrance kiosk, adding up costs and ordering materials. The other team planned out an interactive projection and worked on After Effects to create the projection media.
In the final weeks both teams worked together on finishing and installing both parts successfully.
