Holi Festival

Portraits from a new personal project shot at the Holi festival in Vrindavan, India.
Holi is the most intense and colourful religious festival in India, celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and tourists alike, a riot of people throwing coloured powder and water at each other.
I was really interested in what state people were in after the colours had been thrown, how their new skin totally transformed them. Speaking from experience, these colours last for at least a week, no matter how much you try and wash it off!
