Home sweet home // ROOT-ed zine

So happy to be in ROOT-ed latest zine which is all about food food fooood, there’s loads of nice recipes, pieces of art and articles included. Home sweet home is a digital illustration that I wanted to make to show how flavours and food can be nostalgic, I love the colours used in cooking even the colours used on herbs and spice packaging nstantly takes me back to a time and place. I wanted to illustrate how flavours and home cooking can be a tool for comfort especially if you are away from the place that you call home. For the zine I reworked an old image I made originally to go with a ‘spice up your life seasoning guide’. It was really enjoyable to look at an old piece I had done and give new life to it!
