BRIEF: Encourage more students to go travelling and book through Hostel World. IDEA: In my experience of backpacking keeping a diary, photos and experiences in one place wasn't so easy. I had my diary and then my phone for photos; I never kept a blog of my travels (and no one I met did either) so I thought it would be great if you could collate all this information in one place. The Hostel World tag-line is Meet The World. I played on this and changed it to Met The World. Using this idea Hostel World can encourage students to go backpacking using Hostel World by creating an online record of their travels through a subscription section of their mobile app which invites travellers to upload photos and a diary entry from the day. At the end of their travels a bespoke book is delivered to the travellers home address including the information that was uploaded daily. The new tag line plays on young peoples desire to fit in and is a call to action.
