For the Conran Design Group brief - A Place to Stay, I created a hotel brand at the remote archipelago of Saint Kilda, Scotland. Modern day travellers increasingly value experience and a stroy to tell after a holiday. I enriched a contemporary hotel design with influences from Saint Kilda's history, heritage and culture. From weaved typography and patterns, to vintage photography, to rocky debossing, I aimed for a natural and geographical look that expressed a feeling of solitude and escapism.
