Hydrangea Park

Flores Island - A small patch of land located in the middle of Atlantic Ocean over 2000km away from any mainland. Because of its remoteness and unique climate, it has incredible and diverse nature. From lush jungles to rugged cliffs and from rare flora to volcanic lakes. Our aim was to celebrate Flores’ natural elements and so we created Hydrangea Park Nature Reserve. The Identity of the park was inspired by sensory leaning and the natural world in order to form a deeper connection with the island. We explored practical ways for the user to interact with surrounding nature and developed numerous applications for the whole family to get involved. Final applications included: printed section bound publication, signage system, logo, icons, map, activity book, mobile app, posters, exhibition curation and website.
