Setting in a marginalized situation in the center of Sao Paulo, Eu Estou Aqui (I Am Here) explores a counterpoint to the festive atmosphere, which takes over the country during the course of the World Cup games in Brazil. The performance takes place in the region of “Cracolândia”, an area known to be occupied by crack users who are constant victims of police repression. Around two football fields that historically harbored drug addicts and homeless people, the performance searches a coordinating with the living memory of this area during the match between Brazil and Mexico.
