ID_No Limits Contemporary Sounds is a new music and art festival in Portugal, a new Identity in Cascais. With a line-up focused on what is most contemporary and timeless in the spectrum of electronic and urban music. ID opposes the established, the predictable, presenting a new vision of what can happen in a space most used for corporate events. I was proposed to do a Video Art Installation for the festival in one of their rooms. Collaborating with three artists, each one with their respective role. Inspired and guided by the 3D objects and visual content created by the festival I was proposed to mix them, edit them and create a video installation. Combining sound, made by Wirefelt, and guided by the artistic director Sara Pinto. Experience ID’s virtual birth. Green, in real life is just a colour, in the digital world, it represents lack of information. ID is born from the green void and compounds both its emptiness and infinity. Identity in the digital age is as limitless as ever, endlessly reinventing itself into new undefined possibilities. Deconstruction and construction, remixing , reconforming. Identity on a loop. Being born and dying in the same split second. Knows no concrete shape, knows no end. ID does not know, and is not, it just is limitless transformation.
