Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Roberto Badin specialises in studio-based still life photography and moving image.
Starting out as a fashion photographer, he went on to hone a clean and graphic style with cinematic elements, which he now applies to stills as well as moving image.
Roberto’s detail-oriented approach to image construction, combined with his artful way of conveying emotion and story, have seen him shoot campaigns for global jewellery and drink brands alongside other still life clients.
Outside of his still life photography, Roberto frequently turns his lens to cityscapes and interiors. His first book, Inside Japan, exploring the rich tradition of Japanese architecture, is available to buy now.
Roberto’s work has taken him all over the globe, shooting worldwide campaigns with advertising agencies such as TBWA, DDB, Publicis, Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi.
Elsewhere, he was recently selected for the judging panel of the D&AD awards, and has won a series of awards himself, including Yellow Pencils and Cannes Lions, for his McDonald’s ‘McDelivery’ campaign.
