I was asked by a London-based creative agency to produce a series of photos for the startup drinks brand, IKO. The brief was to capture a relaxed urban atmosphere in East London, and without being overly glossy or preaching an unrealistic lifestyle. It was about a group of friends coming together to have a good time, blended with a mixture of candid portraits and product shots of the drinks. I shot the entire series on 35mm film using Kodak's versatile Porta 400 film and relied heavily on natural light, with my only fill-light coming from the use of a reflector and at some points, a Speedlite flash.
