The Department Environment of Liguria Region is engaged to protection, sustainable management of environment and territory through relevant policies. The Area Coastal Ecosystem have in charge many functions related to ICZM, as protection of marine and costal habitats, planning and setting of actions to fight coastal erosion and sea flooding, as well as the achievement of a good ecological status in the coastal waters as established by Dir2000/60/EC.
