INDEPENDENT FINAL PROJECT

Ubiquity Mag.

Making the ordinary, extraordinary.
For my Independent Final Project at university, I created the concept, business plan and user journey for a seasonal print magazine 'Ubiquity Mag'. It is a platform of communication based on the subject of sustainability, and voicing the experiences of The post-war Silent Generation to help inform the mindsets of younger consumers. The interviews and visual content for each issue is focused on a different ubiquitous object; the first being food. Through the medium of visual arts and print publication, the aim was to create a sense of nostalgia and intimacy between the interviewees and the reader, and also between generations. In turn, providing a change of perspective on sustainability and consumerism.
