The collection was inspired by feelings. The feeling of falling in LOVE with someone represented though heart prints, shades of red; the pain of a HEARTBREAK represented through the ombre red screen-print; the ANXIETY interpreted by the straps and belt-loops detailing on the high collars. The pockets of the jacket and jumpsuit resemble the HEARTBEAT when it's in movement. One key inspiration for the collection was the quote ' It's hard to open up' interpreted with the gatherings on the jackets as it restrains the fabric so it won't open up. Every piece has a meaning and every detail on it represents a bit of the complex feeling of INFATUATION.
The message of the collection is encouraging us to be ourselves, accept the way we feel and not to be afraid to express it. As the designer is mostly inspired by the way people make her feel she is bringing with this a new aesthetic to her young label, 'Wearable Feelings'. It started from the fact that she is finding it difficult to express her emotions so she is showing it through the way she knows best, her designs and her styling. With 'INFATUATION' she is hoping to bring more awareness into people's lives about their feelings, it's important to stop and embrace the way we feel.
