Innovation

'Innovation' is a project focused on using unconventional materials and processes to create fashion textiles. The project brief included a colour palette to work with and the starting theme; 'The machined object'. I chose to interpret this title with my theme of circuit boards I photographed during primary research at my Dad's workplace factory. Materials were sourced sustainably from scrap stores and charity shops and repurposed into textiles intended for a high fashion context. As the title 'Innovation' explains, I took on an innovative approach to combining materials and processes I was, at this point, newly introduced to.
