ENGAGING EVENT AS RESEARCH METHOD
Engaging design applies practical skills, using live research methods, to involve a community.
This event was held to explore innovation. Different actors, including experts and other community members, participated in the event. Therefore, the concept itself was mapped through the network of agents involved.
The guests unpacked the issue of innovation through a series of exercises analysing how the concept of innovation changes over time, and exploring the relations between innovation, science and technology. The creative process was explored and visualised through a map. Last, but not least, the participants worked with future expectations by prototyping futuristic gadgets.
