InogarArt Community Dialogues aims to establish an arts & culture network and a discussion oriented environment for artists, institutions and organisations to exchange information, conduct research, engage critical dialogue and promote arts and cultural activities. At the first event of the InogarArt Community Dialogues series, titled ‘Art and Technology for Social Good’ and organized with the contributions of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, the American interdisciplinary artist and creative technologist Heidi Boisvert talked about how art and technology can be utilized to provide social good, based on her own creative, artistic and technological work. At the second event of the series, ‘All About Short Films’, Heval Hazal Kurt, Steven Selçuk, Sedef Sayın, and Sinan Şensivas, the founders of short film platforms; namely Short is Good, Short Film Collective and Oktostore, had an extensive talk on a variety of important issues related to short films based on their own industry knowledge and experience. At the third event, ‘Dervish in Progress as an Artistic Tool’, choreographer, instructor and performance artist Ziya Azazi talked about the dance language, terminology and performance he developed, and also addressed a variety of subjects like human existence, internal and external realities, the systems of the body and the structure of the mind. Azazi also gave a live dance and music performance together with Burak Malçok, the flute player whom he works with. As the Community Lead of InogarArt, I worked closely on all events of the series. I provided comprehensive administrative and facilities support, assisted with the coordination of meetings, liaised with event participants, actively participated in the planning and running of the events, worked closely with the graphic designer responsible for preparing promotional images/social media ads for the events and reviewed his work, prepared social media posts, web/blog content, reports and presentations on the series, both in English and Turkish. http://www.inogarart.com/en/inogarart-community-dialogues-all-about-short-films/ http://www.inogarart.com/en/inogarart-community-dialogues-dervish-in-progress-as-an-artistic-tool/
