interactive art workshops

interactive art workshops at Thomas Fairchild school.
Commissioned by Hoxton Hall, together with the children we created an interactive /playful piece for the school hall, during a period of 8 weeks, leading workshops every week .
Although every workshop had a specific focus, the main running theme was the collection and ‘hacking’ of objects that are interesting in their function, in their design or in their story/history and their reimagining in the context of a final, interactive work of art.
Our role was to encourage the children to imagine what the final work could look like, the way different ‘hacked’ objects could work together to perform an action, and how would visitors in the school interact with it.
