Interior by LOVEISENOUGH

The interior space - akin to a public square - reveals itself as you progress from entry to body. Inspirations include municipal spaces and Manchester’s great libraries and halls - places of democracy, community, and aspiration. Public in nature, CULTUREPLEX subtly borrows from a ‘transportation’ vernacular thus it incorporates lighting on a civil scale, Ketley brick quarry pavers, and a series of timber-paneled walls with some that integrate benches, tables and charging stations for citizens on the go. With a robust variety of seating heights and conditions from dining height tables with accessible power sockets to low lounge chairs, everywhere is a place to rest or work, neutral to the user’s needs. Coloration is soft and muted, much like Pierre Adolf Valette’s portraits of Manchester during the turn of the century with a good dose of black to ground the palette. Loren Day of LOVEISENOUGH has had a lengthy career working on the most elevated and intentional commercial interiors, bringing both aspirational study as well as robust pragmatism to the built environment. Driven by experiment and collaboration - not convention and ego - she seeks to bring a clean mind to new projects. For several years, she worked with renowned firms Roman & Williams Buildings and Interiors and Aero Studios in New York. Daye also served as Creative Director and Head of Interiors for Ace Hotel Group for almost 7 years, where she oversaw Conceptual Development, Interiors, and Architecture. In 2017, seeking more fluidity and agility in her work, Loren returned to her own studio, LOVEISENOUGH, and to her primary interest - imagining and making space with interesting people.
