International Women's Day at Creativebrief

These illustrations we created in order to go alongside an article written by the women of Creativebrief. Their accounts detailed what it is like to be a women in the advertising industry and how they think progress is being made in the bid for gender equality.

This illustration was designed to show the increasing amount of creative and advertising campaigns that are starting to emerge in the ad industry. From the 'Viva la vulva' campaign to the #freethefeed innitiative created by Mother, we are now getting increasingly inspired by female-focused media.
This illustration was based off of the recent shocking ad inspired by the wors of the blogger, Camille Rainvills. The 'Be a lady they said campaign' shows the contradictions of what a women should be and how women will never be enough in the eyes of society.
This illustration was a comical take on the very serious matter highlighted Niclola Kemp, the Managing Editor of BITE.

Yes, of course, there are still companies that seem intent on keeping their senior women in a cupboard; perhaps only letting them out to voice their opinion on International Women’s Day.
