To mark our traditional June date, Junction 2 Festival (London) has announced a one-off online and radio event on Saturday 6th June 2020: J2v. We are inviting all 3D digital designers to get involved with the design of this new virtual world.

J2v will take place in 2 worlds. There is our world, a land of rules and gravity. And there is the world we are creating.

Across a six-hour broadcast, J2v will reconnect our community from the safety of their homes, going beyond the conventional DJ stream to deliver a 3D digital world in which to experience more than a dozen of the planet’s finest house and techno artists, spread across three unique ‘stages’.

In keeping with the Junction 2 spirit, these stages will have their own visuals, vibe and aesthetic and you are free to flit between them or remain stationary at your own leisure. ‘The Console in association with Relentless’, ‘The Vault in association with Asahi Super Dry’ and ‘The Hex’ will allow for real-time peer-to-peer engagement, boosted by immersive effects we are confident you’ll enjoy.
We are reaching out to all 3D digital designers to get involved with J2v by sending us their personal work to be showcased in the virtual world. The J2v Arts Exhibition in association with Asahi Super Dry will spark designers curiosity to share their thought-provoking, provocative or plain fun pieces, to be rendered and positioned around our online landscape.

Perhaps best of all, our favourite digital sculpture will be commissioned to be displayed and appreciated at the real-life Junction 2 Festival in 2021, a bridge between the digital and natural worlds.

Entries can be existing pieces of work or brand-new designs, if you so wish. To get involved, please upload .obj files no larger than 500kb by Friday 29th May.
