'Is there a snackbar?' is a manifesto zine that explores the misconceptions and ignorance; based upon media-skewed stereotypes, shown by Norfolk people (a close-minded community) towards the Arabic/Islamic cultures. This is achieved by using Norfolk's own 'absurd' stereotypes against them, in hopes of inserting a realisation of the stupidity of using stereotypes to fuel a hatred to something that is unknown and unlearnt. Within the exhibition, the zine was put on display in front of large vinyl text. This text read "Oh look! Big, scary words...", surrounding it were smaller Arabic quotes that read numerous insults that can be found in English within the zine. The meaning of the message is that fear should not be shown towards something, just because it is not understood or known.
