ISOLATION ISLAND

Isolation island is a capsule that continues the exploration in the contrast between African streetwear and western utility wear. this collection was made during the first global pandemic in 2020, thus making the name of the capsule a reflection of the condition the garments were made in. the capsule features curved seam denim jeans, an oversized tote bag and bucket hat made from 5 pairs or recycled jeans and sand washed denim. The vest in the capsule was made in collaboration with knitwear designer rai Urmila. photography by Delali Ayivi.
