James and the giant peach

Brief
Design a whole new look for James and the giant peach, reinventing it for a whole new generation of readers, encouraging children(and adults) to revisit it and ensuring that it remains an integral part of childhood for the next fifty years.

Concept
Captured the peculiar, surreal and topsy turvy nature of the story. While reading the book I noticed that Roald Dahl heavily used the word peculiar this observation formed the bases of the cover upside nature and illustration style.
