Brand identity and packaging for a traditional business that is looking to expand into e-commerce /// Role: Graphic Designer & Art Director

1963 is a traditional jewellery business born in the early 60’s in Colombia. This business produces astonishing Pre-Columbian products inspired by cultural objects and nature. The designers use gold, silver, emeralds and diamonds for the creations.
For many decades and in different main cities around the country, the owner of this atelier has created a solid reputation for their unique designs, excellent quality and long legacy in teaching the techniques. Now the owner’s children are inheriting the business and expanding to sell online.
The brand essence focuses on communicating the transition between the old tradition and the new. I was inspired by the main product called “The man in the universe” and experimented with arms and legs to create a new figure: outcome A. Duplicating and rotating outcome A, I created a curious figure that expresses “two men” (father and son) working for a common aim.
