Journeys is a unique photographic project that looks at the ordinary lives and aspirations of people across the countries of the former Eastern Bloc. A quarter century after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, how has their landscape changed and what role do questions of history and national identity play in their dreams and their future?
My Approach
Elegance and a strong focus on imagery were the main aspects of the Journeys projects. The nature of the project being editorial content needed to coherently flow from one article to another. The precise amount of imagery and text content was carefully considered before writing and implementation forming a list-feed page reading. The page had a very subtle but functional feature where the article number has linked the sidebar with a small progress bar was keeping track of the user's progress.
