Keyble Table Lamp
Formed from the thought of 'why is everything turned on by a switch?' Keyble changes the expected interaction by removing the switch that we all know so well and replacing it with a key.
Everything we use has the same interaction, the same switches and buttons. The products we buy no longer give us a sense of pleasure and fun when we use them, they blend into the background as a tool, rather than something we enjoy to see and use. This lamp changes this, it has had the switch that we all know so well removed and replaced by a key.
Turn the key and the light comes on, keep turning the key and the light gets brighter.
Even though it has a playful side, this lamp is still functional, with the rounded shape it allows for ambient lighting to suit any room. It comes in 4 earthy tones, Sandstorm, Syrah, Walnut and String. The lamp is made of Opal Frosted Glass and Aluminium to make it more sustainable and give it a feeling of quality.
