Kinks & Curls Haircare Game

Kinks and Curls is a hairdressing game based on the character Zuri. We are introduced to Zuri when she is found in her older sister, Zahara's room. Zuri looks up to Zahara and wants to look just like her! After being caught and having made a mess of her hair, Zuri breaks down in frustration. "I hate my kinks and curls!" Zahara comforts Zuri and promises she will show her how to love her kinks and curls. Zahara teaches Zuri hair techniques whilst educating her on the history of her beautiful fro' of hair. Parents and Guardians are encouraged to explore and learn about natural black hair with their children. The game is a tool to help build the relationship between parent/guardian, child and their hair. With further development and adding more characters, Kinks and Curls will begin to target more family types. Delilah is of an interracial background and her dad is struggling to find the best products to use on his daughter's hair. As the game develops you begin to see relationships forming and a child embracing her natural hair.
