Knock is a short drama that explores the effects of suppressing one’s emotions in the name of maintaining professionalism. Senior police officer Lily is confronted by her young subordinate over the clinical manner in which she approaches one of the hardest tasks required of her job: informing someone a family member has been killed. Lily has been in the force all her working her life, and such a long career in a frequently brutal job has taken its toll on her: nowadays she struggles to show compassion for those she must deliver the worst news to, she even has a rehearsed routine she steadfastly sticks to when doing it.
