Koko Mag was a twice-off fashion and culture art magazine, produced solely by Kafei White as a means of showcasing artists' less conventional works.

Tired of feeling blocked by critics claiming Kafei was 'too commercial', while simultaneously being 'too fine art', Kafei endeavoured to create a publication and platform that allowed artists to show the work they wanted in a different way.

As an artist, Kafei knows the importance of showcasing the works, so our first and foremost belief is to reflect the works in the best possible way, everything else comes second. As such, you won't find large fancy fonts or over the top graphic design etching into the works - graphics and credits are minimalistic.

Koko Mag was submission based, relying on artists interested in showing off their works to submit, we merely provide a platform to showcase contemporary works from artists of all mediums.

It was preferred that work submitted be exclusive and unpublished, by this we are asking to be the ones who launch the work. After this, artists can be proud to display their works in their own additional ways. However if we feel the art is of a certain standard or that it would suit Koko Mag, we do take exception to that rule.

The interviews featured in Koko Mag are all conducted by, and copyrighted by Kafei White. All images used are credited to their artists (and collaborators) in their feature, so ensure credits are correct when submitting. Koko Mag will not be held responsible where credits are incorrectly given.

Koko Mag was published via magcloud, in both print and digital, with issue one launching in March of 2015.

During production of issue one it was decided to go ahead with a second issue due to the incredible reception and volume of works. Koko Mag ceased after it's second issue due to Kafei White's desire to move onto new projects on his move to London.
