Kruel Lagerfeld

  • Emma Powney
Brief:
To Investigate the depth of the leather industry, in terms of the procedure and where the material is produced. Further, design a campaign to inform and educate an audience on this subject matter.
My Response:
I focused on the existing language and persuasion which each leading designer use to sell their products to their audience. I then twisted this language to lead the audience to know the truth about where these leather products comes from and how this is produced.
I configured replicas of designers websites from Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Choo and Vivienne Westwood, to allow the customers to think that they are still shopping, finding these legit designer products. However, as the audience explore into these websites further, with the corrupted language used, they will understand what the campaign is hoping to achieve.
The Language
Manipulating the language of the designers leather products to report the truth to their audience.
