Kukoo is a brand concept and identity using a custom typeface at the heart of the brand, as well as quirky imagery to convey a travel idea with an alternative message. Kukoo is a travel brand that aims to challenge review sites that are damaging the travel industry, by promoting an honest and more realistic notion of travel as a unique and exciting experience.

The ‘Kukoo’ typeface is deliberately very bold, with added quirkiness to help convey the brand’s message.
The language used to promote Kukoo has been inspired by real complaints made by customers that I discovered through primary research as well as on review sites. The aim of the brand is to change the way people perceive travel in today’s society as Kukoo believes that travel will never be perfect but this is why it is exiting. Ultimately, the aim of the brand is to challenge the notion of review sites, helping people realise that it is better to experience travel for yourself.
