Snapshot:
K.wala is a Melbourne based travel-apparel company. They create functional products for travellers and adventure holiday-makers. K.wala asked Love Letters Studio to make it's brand identity as they seek to expand its customer's experience. K.wala is set to organise and promote the Australian leg of a global 'rickshaw run'. If you don't know what this is, it's honestly worth the google, they wanted to improve their brand visibility for this new global market, while still retaining their inherent Aussie-ness.

The Objective:
To create a visual and verbal identity and a suite of supporting collateral that reflects the client's style and vision.

The Opportunity:
K.wala is looking for an Identity that evokes the company's values, to be printed on a range of products and collateral sold within the outdoor market sector, bridging the gap between style and function that resonates with its consumers.

The Outcome:
The identity is based on the study of Vexillology and the idea that travellers 'collect' the flags from the countries they visit. Stitched, ironed and embroidered onto many backpacks these flags are seen universally as milestone achievements. Love Letters Studio wanted to use these personal tapestries of shapes and colours to inspire a banner for all global citizens. we used the fundamental design principles of Vexillology combined with a broad palette of bright colours, reflecting the bold context of the brand, all pinned together under K.wala's new insignia.
