From February to June 2015, the "Salone degli Incanti" in Trieste hosted an exhibition entitled "1891-1914 The great Trieste - Portrait of a city", commissioned by the Municipality of Trieste to illustrate, primarily through vintage photographic images these twenty-five years preceded the outbreak of the First World War. A period of development and extraordinary vitality of the city, both from the economic point of view and in the social and cultural aspects, so it is certainly not an exaggeration to speak of "great Trieste" about the last decades of the Habsburg administration, characterized, however also from tensions and harsh political confrontations.

The exhibition presented almost exclusively objects, works, and documents of the civic property, in addition to photographs, archaeological artifacts, works of art, musical instruments, posters, naval models, newspapers, archival papers. The exhibition aroused great interest and had 25,000 visitors, the best result ever for the exhibitions of the "Salone degli Incanti."
This project was in collaboration with Basiq design studio, Trieste.
