Lady Mechanical inspired pot

When I create a sculpture from a pot is to retain the sole of the original pot. Never adding clay to the vessel only carving it away revealing the shape I see in my mind and texture I want to feel. This is a quirky take on Lady Machanicas iconic outfit, carved from a gourd-shaped stoneware pot (hand thrown on my1950's treadle wheel) and finished in a simple underglaze which is a nod to the illustrative nature of Lady Mech comics.
